Here's where I share business growth insights, tips,
and wisdom to help you propel your success.

[B.G.I.] Does it look like this?

Let me ask you.Ā

Does your business look a bit like this:

Inconsistent focus.

Inconsistent offers.

Inconsistent marketing.

Inconsistent sales.

Inconsistent revenue.

Inconsistent ... well ... everything.

First of all, there's no shame in this, having crystal clear clarity and creating consistency in all those things up there isn't always easy.

I spent years fighting against consistency. Always looking for the next 'big' thing.

But as time went on, I knew i needed a repeatable system in my business and consistent action to create the predictable results, revenue and lifestyle I wanted.

So in this months newsletter I'm going to share:

  • The three symptoms of a struggling business and how to fix them.Ā
  • A personal story about how learning to drive taught me a lot.
  • How you can get the clarity, confidence and direction you crave in your business, in the next four weeks.

It's a jam packed month so let's dive in ...

"Where there's a will, there's a way": Learning to drive taught me a lot...

I've realised I have a pattern when it comes to getting what i want...

When I look at the goals Iā€™ve set in my life...the things I've set out to achieve, Iā€™ve always approached them that little bit differently šŸ¤”

Like when I set the goal to learn how to drive...šŸš˜

I was in my early 20s living in Stirling, Scotland šŸ“󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁓ó æ and I decided it was time that I had put this goal off long enough. So I signed up for lessons and every week after work Iā€™d have one with my instructor.

This went on for four, maybe six, weeks and I noticed I wasnā€™t really progressing, the lessons were becoming tedious, I was losing interest, I couldnā€™t see much progress and the goal of being able to actually drive seemed a loooong way off. I was really over this weekly process and ended up dreading every lesson which was now up to twice a week.

It was time to do things that l little bit differently!!

So I asked my instructor ā€œfor the average person how many lessons does it take for them to pass their test?ā€ (thi...

Business Boost: Three Symptoms of a Struggling Business & How to Fix Them

When you feel like you are spinning your wheels in business, you can fix it ā€” here's how...

Many times throughout our business journey, we lose clarity in the direction of our businesses.Ā  In this weeks post, I'm going to break down the symptoms of a struggling business - highlighting what the real problems are, and how to fix them!

Symptom #1 ā€“ Not Making Any/Enough Money

This is the most common, most frustrating symptom of them all, and one that can be crippling emotionally and mentally, so let's nip it in the bud first!

Calling money into your business comes down to three things ā€“

  1. Resolve your ability to receive money.Ā  (Ask, Believe, Receive)
  2. Clarify the offers that call in your dream clients and/or create irresistible products that attract returning customers.
  3. Create consistency in your business strategy.

Re-write your money story. Any negativity around receiving money does not serve you anymore, so it's time to flip it.Ā  I've just learnt about the power of "Tapping" ...

[B.G.I. JANUARY 2021] Happy New Year from Shakespeare's Stratford!

Happy New Year From Stafford-Upon-Avon, England!

2020 has been a heck of a year.Ā  Some of you will be glad to see the back of it while others are taking momentous strides into a prosperous 2021.

Itā€™s been a mixed year for me with some great wins, some challenges and course corrections.Ā  But through it all Iā€™ve learnt to accept what is, let go of what was and have faith in what will be.

Wherever youā€™re starting off the year, personally and professionally, know that you are amazing to have gotten this far and that 2021 will and can be what you choose to make it.

So celebrate, make those big brave bold goals, ask the universe for what you want and commit to moving forward no matter how small the step or what happens in the outside world, because today is the first day of a brand new year and YOU GET TO CHOOSE how youā€™re going to show up for it.

Iā€™m really looking forward to connecting more with you throughout 2021 and helping you to build the business of your dreams.

Letā€™s do this...

Set For Success: 10 Ways To Set Yourself Up For Success In 2021

My suggestion... start this year very different to every other year; especially if you feel busy or overwhelmed already.

It can be easy just to pick up where you left off in 2020 and get buried in daily tasks, overthinking or worse overwhelm stagnation.Ā  So this post is a gentle reminder to take the time you need to arm yourself for the year ahead.

This means stepping away from working ā€˜inā€™ your business and devoting even a small amount of time to working ā€˜onā€™ it.

You probably heard many times in 2020 that ā€œweā€™re all in the same boatā€ well Iā€™m here to say weā€™re not all in the same boat.Ā  Weā€™re all in the same body of water but some of us are in ships, some are in yachts, some are in canoes, some are holding onto other peopleā€™s boats (the employees) and some are treading water and just staying afloat.Ā  [Thanks goes out to mindset mentor Susanne Evans for this analogy].

We are all in the same body of water, but we are not all in the same boat.

Now is the perfect time to build YOUR b...

December Newsletter: Priorities, Planning, Play and More...

Welcome to the December edition of B.G.I. (Business Growth Insights)

Today is officially the start of winter here in the UK and the countdown to the holidays begins!!

I absolutely love Christmas and I already have my festive cheer on ā€“ yes the Michael BublĆ© Christmas album plays loud and proud on Alexa, the decorations are ready to be hung and Iā€™ve managed to add more lights to my ever growing collection ļŠ

Letā€™s face it after the year we have just experienced, itā€™s the perfect time to wind down.

Even though entrepreneurship is important, inspiring and exciting, we need to step away from it sometimes to relax, reflect and refocus. And what better time to do that than the over the Christmas break.

So if you havenā€™t already, block some time out in your diary to make the most of the holidaysā€¦

  • Spend time with family
  • Relax with a good book
  • Visit family and friends
  • Cook, garden or go for a walk
  • Start a regular gratitude ritual
  • Start a manifesting journal
  • Meditate

How to start planning for 2021 and make it your best year yet!

Here we are at THAT time of year.

The time when those who have already created a plan for 2021 are sitting pretty, safe in the knowledge that they have it all mapped out.

And then thereā€™s the rest, who donā€™t. Who might be a little overwhelmed by all this talk of planning, setting goals, smashing 2021 and so on ā€“ especially if 2020 hasnā€™t lived up to expectations.

But with the end of year approaching, there are no more excuses. Itā€™s time to get down to business and start that all important planning for 2021.

Which is why Iā€™m going to share with you the exact system I use to plan my year - both personally and professionally in four steps.

Ā

Step 1: Plan Your Personal Life First

Entrepreneurship is important, inspiring and exciting, however itā€™s also important to step away from it sometimes and enjoy life along the way. As the saying goes, ā€˜work is what you do, itā€™s not who you areā€™.

After being in business for myself for over a decade I can tell you if youā€™re not fulfilled in you...

November Newsletter 2020: How to get motivated, get productive & get things done

Welcome to the November 2020 B.G.I. newsletter.Ā  I must admit, I do love these Autumn months!

It feels like something magical happens.Ā  The air is crisper and clearer, the trees turn from pine green to an array of gold, copper, and bronze and the sense of something new and exciting happening lingers around every corner.

There is no feeling more satisfying than dusting off my boots, wrapping up in a cosy coat, hat and gloves and going on a riverbank walk into town. I love the smell of wood burner fires, the crisp air and vibrant autumnal landscape colours.Ā  Having lived in Queensland, Australia for the past 16 years this is a novelty I have not yet tired of.

Autumn feels like a fresh start, a new beginning making way for new ideas and fresh perspectives, bolstering the drive to get motivated, get productive and get things done.

This is especially true for businesses.Ā  Even during these uncertain times, according to Inc.com, productivity is at its peak during Autumn, with more task...

The Three Golden Rules

There are just three golden rules to make your business the best it can possibly be.

Whatever your internal motivation for going into business is, Iā€™d say that, at some level, all professional experts and advisors want to help others. We want to make a difference and assist those who are really motivated for change, motivated to find a solution to their current challenge, desire or frustration, and motivated to reach their aspirational end goal. The truth is that there are hundreds of thousands of people who are deeply motivated and ready for your expertiseā€”right now. You just have to find them.

So instead of trying to sell your services and solutions to just anybody, we want to identify and work with the people who are already looking for what you offer. The people who want your particular expert advice. When you do this the process becomes a whole lot smoother.

Always remember, people donā€™t actually buy your expertise because they want your expertise. People buy because th...

WHAT NEXT: The six things you must focus on now to reset, maintain + grow your business.

With so much going on around us right now, it can be hard to focus on our businesses.Ā  It feels overwhelming, which can create second guessing and stagnation, when what we should be doing is taking action and moving forward.

But thatā€™s sometimes easier said than done, right?Ā  Because when weā€™re stuck in fight, flight or freeze mode, itā€™s hard to know what to focus on or what to do next.

So, I wanted to share with you the six things you must focus on now that will create that forward momentum you need in your business.

Ā

1. Reset

Youā€™ve likely been forging forward these last few months, surrounded by the new normal: juggling life, work, kids ā€“ everything! Now is the perfect time to reassess and reset what your business needs and your soul craves.

Ask yourself whatā€™s your no 1 goal for next 30 days.Ā  Whatā€™s that one thing you would love to kick off or get done?Ā  This will give you a purpose and enable you to make a plan.Ā  With a plan you get progress.

Then ask yourself what do I w...
